KTFB-CA, VHF analog 4, is a low-powered, Class A UniMás owned-and-operated television station licensed to Bakersfield, California, United States. It is a translator of Bakersfield-licensed UniMás owned-and-operated station KBTF-CD (channel 31). Owned by the Univision Local Media subsidiary of Univision Communications, it is sister to Class A Univision owned-and-operated station KABE-CD (channel 39), KBTF-CD (channel 31) and True Crime Network affiliate KUVI-DT (channel 45). The four stations share studios on Truxtun Avenue in the western section of Bakersfield; KTFB-CA's transmitter is located atop Breckenridge Mountain.

In addition to its own digital signal, KTFB-CA is simulcast in high definition on the first digital subchannel of KBTF-CD (virtual and UHF channel 31.1) from a transmitter atop Mount Adelaide.

History[]

As an Univision station[]

In 1991, the station added Spanish programming as a part-time affiliate of Univision, with the network's programming running from 6 or 7 p.m. the station became an Telefutura affiliate and changed its call letters to KTFB-CA. In 2004, the station began carrying Spanish language programming full-time. The station was by Univision Communications in 2002.

GetTV[]

GetTV was launched in February 2014 on the station's 31.2 digital sub-channel, becoming the first free over-the-air English-language movie network to air on the station since the demise of Wometco Home Theater in 1985.

Court TV Mystery[]

Court TV Mystery, was added on 31.3 in August 18, 2014 as Escape, airing primarily and crime programming.
